It’s been about a year since I first launched this blog. Third year of medical school threw a bit of a wrench into plans for the blog but alhamdulillah, I finished Step 2 last weekend and can focus on growing this blog in the direction I’d like.
Towards that end, here’s what I have in store going forward insha’Allah:
- New article published every Monday with an occasional article published on Thursdays. The idea is to have 50-60 articles published a year.
- Introduction of guest writers. If you have an article you’d like to contribute, send me an email or Facebook message with what you have in mind. Many of you have unique experiences that other Muslim men can benefit from and I’d love to help you share that with an audience!
- A book published at the end of 2017. For those who didn’t catch the reference, this blog’s title is a play on the famous book series The Ideal Muslim and The Ideal Muslimah. Insha’Allah the goal is to have a 21st century guidebook for Muslim men published in the same mold as that series.
I have a few more things in mind but these are the main goals over the next year.
Initially, I wrote this blog without too much thought of advertising, deciding to focus on that after a year of writing articles. As that year has come to an end, I’m happy to announce that I’ve launched a Facebook page that you can follow at https://www.facebook.com/TheIdealMuslimMan/.
